The Legal Studies Program provides the following
services prior to and after graduation to assist students
in locating a position in the legal profession. Students also
use the services of Syracuse University's Center for Career
Services. The Program staff also works closely with the legal
community to counsel graduates and develop employment opportunities.
Job placement is not guaranteed to students or graduates of
the program.
Students and alumni are encouraged to contact
Bruce F. Hamm, J.D., Director, in the program office via e-mail
or at 315-443-3299 for additional information.

All job opportunities are posted internally for current
students and program graduates to inform them of legal
employment opportunities. Additionally, potential employers
are solicited to call the Program for referrals of qualified
graduates to fill vacancies.
Students are encouraged to leave resumes with the Program
office to help facilitate placement when such vacancies
occur. The Program Director is also available by appointment
for individual consultations and assistance with job searches.
Students and alumni should provide the Program office
with current addresses, phone numbers, and emails to assist
in securing employment.
As an American Bar Association Approved ("ABA")
Program, we are required to survey our graduates on a regular
basis. The purpose of this survey is to make our program
responsive to the needs of local employers, and to better
prepare our graduates for a career in the legal field. Your
opinions are important to us. We also want to stay in touch
with you. Please let us know if any of your contact information
has changed.
You will find a short questionnaire with space for
comments if you choose to include them. We know you
are busy and we have tried to make completion as painless
as possible. The data from this survey will be used
in aggregate form only. Your answers will remain confidential.
If you have any questions about this survey, please
do not hesitate to contact me via e-mailbfhamm@uc.syr.edu.
Thank you for your time and consideration, but most
of all, thank you for staying in touch with us.
