Legal Studies-Credit Certificate Program


Obtain skills needed to work in the legal profession as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant. This program is approved by the American Bar Association. The certificate is fully transferable into the Bachelor's Degree in Legal Studies.

Certificate Program and Admission Requirements:

Applicants must have an associate degree or equivalent (60 credits) from an accredited school or college that includes at least 18 credits in Liberal Arts courses.

Applications are accepted on a continuous basis. To apply, complete the Application for Part-Time Undergraduate Study, or call 315-443-3261 for an application.

Students must complete 26 credits consisting of the 7 required courses below and one elective course of your choice. Click on the course name for a complete description.

LGL 205—Law Office Technology
LGL 301—Tort Law
LGL 304—Contracts and Commercial Law
